How to prepare your image for canvas

Canvases are prepared in inches to meet international standards in picture framing. The standard heavy duty frame used by Big Posters requires the image surface area to have an additional 3 inches all round to become the edge of the frame.  For a 20 inch by 16 inch frame the canvas would be printed as a 23 inch and 19 inch image.
